Back to School – A Drawing Journey

This September, we'll celebrate the feeling of a new season and the fresh start that comes with it through drawing.

In this 4-week live Zoom series, we'll explore familiar objects, memories, and little details that remind us of back-to-school days -from pencils and books to backpacks, school buses, and other nostalgic favorites.

Each week, we'll focus on a different subject, breaking it down into simple, approachable steps while exploring shapes, details, texture, and shading.

This class is designed to support you step-by-step while giving you the freedom to develop your own style and creativity.

Whether you're just beginning your drawing journey or have years of experience, this series is an invitation to slow down, enjoy the creative process, and reflect on the idea of new beginnings.

September can be a time to pause, look ahead, and think about what we'd like to learn, create, or carry with us into a new season. Through drawing, we'll take some time to notice, remember, and create.

• Sketchbook or drawing paper
• Pencil and eraser
• Black archival ink pen (Micron or similar)
• Colored pencils or watercolor (optional)
