🌊 Letters by the Sea – A June Drawing & Lettering Class Series

This June Drawing Class Series, we’ll be inspired by the calm beauty of the ocean as we explore both drawing and hand lettering in a creative, relaxing 4-week journey. A creative journey inspired by the rhythm of the sea.

Each week, we’ll focus on a different lettering style and a new beach inspired word or phrase. Alongside our lettering, we’ll also create simple drawings and visual elements that bring each word to life—helping you connect image and text in a meaningful way.

As we work, we’ll explore how drawing and lettering can flow together like the ocean—organic, expressive, and calming—while still giving structure to your creative ideas.

Each week you’ll create a finished piece such as a bookmark, notecard, journal cover, gift bag, or framed quote. You’re also welcome to keep everything in your sketchbook and build your own personal collection of beach-inspired words and drawings.

This class is beginner friendly and designed to be supportive and step-by-step while also giving you space to explore your own style and creativity.

Whether you are new to drawing and lettering or already have experience, this series is a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the process of creating.

Format: Live on Zoom (link emailed after registration)

✏️ Materials:

Sketchbook or mixed media paper
Tracing paper (recommended for lettering transfer)
Pencil and eraser
Black archival ink pen (Micron or similar)
Colored pencils, watercolor, or markers (optional)
Cardstock, Watercolor paper, blank notecards, journal, Gift bags (optional for final pieces)

• Create a finished piece such as a bookmark, notecard, journal cover, gift bag, or framed quote
• Or keep all work in a personal drawing and lettering journal
